Many people arrive to therapy with a lot of information already—about different techniques, approaches, and what they think they “should” be doing. Social media can make it feel like there are clear answers or quick frameworks, but therapy is rarely one-size-fits-all.

It often takes time to figure out what actually fits you—not just in theory, but in practice. Some approaches are used on their own, others are integrated over time, and that process can shift as we get to know what is most helpful for you.

There’s no need to decide everything at once. Part of the work is simply exploring what resonates, what doesn’t, and what feels supportive at a pace that makes sense for you.
